Status: September 2026. This privacy policy describes the services currently in use.

General notes

The following notes provide a simple overview of what happens to your personal data when you visit this website. Personal data is any data with which you can be personally identified.

Data collection on this website

Data processing on this website is carried out by the website operator (see the section „Information on the controller“). Your data is collected, on the one hand, by you providing it to us – e.g. via a contact or enquiry form. Other data is collected automatically or after your consent when you visit the website by our IT systems (primarily technical data such as browser, operating system or the time of the page view).

Your rights

You have the right at any time to obtain information free of charge about the origin, recipients and purpose of your stored personal data. You also have a right to the rectification or erasure of this data as well as – under certain conditions – to the restriction of processing. You may revoke consent you have given at any time with effect for the future. You have a right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority.

2. Hosting

We host the content of our website with Vercel Inc. (USA). When the website is accessed, technically necessary data (e.g. IP address, time of access) is processed in order to deliver the page reliably. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in a secure and reliable provision). As a transfer to the USA may take place in this context, we base this on the corresponding safeguards (among others, the EU standard contractual clauses). We have concluded a data processing agreement (DPA) with Vercel. You will find details in Vercel’s privacy policy.

4. Data collection on this website

Server log files

The provider of the pages automatically collects and stores information in so-called server log files, which your browser automatically transmits to us (browser type and version, operating system used, referrer URL, host name of the accessing computer, time of the server request, IP address). This data is not merged with other data sources.

Contact and enquiry form

If you send us messages via the contact form, email or an enquiry, your details including the contact data you provide there will be stored by us for the purpose of processing the enquiry and in case of follow-up questions. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (initiation of a contract) or Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in processing).

5. Bookings and availability (NauSYS)

To display availability and to process enquiries and bookings, we use the charter booking system NauSYS (MMK Systems d.o.o., Croatia). The data required for an enquiry or booking (e.g. name, contact details, desired period, boat, number of persons) is processed in order to check availability and carry out the booking. To complete a booking, the required data may be passed on to the respective boat provider (charter operator or marina). The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (performance or initiation of a contract). Processing takes place on servers within the EU; we have concluded a data processing agreement with the provider.

6. Newsletter and email delivery

If you wish to receive the newsletter offered on the website, we need an email address from you. Registration uses the double opt-in procedure: after signing up you receive an email in which you confirm your registration. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can unsubscribe at any time via the link at the end of every email or by contacting us; the lawfulness of the processing already carried out remains unaffected by any withdrawal.

For sending we use the service Brevo (Sendinblue GmbH, Köpenicker Straße 126, 10179 Berlin, Germany). Brevo processes the data on our behalf on servers within the EU; we have concluded a data processing agreement with Brevo. Brevo also allows us to analyse the delivery (e.g. whether an email was opened) in order to improve the newsletter. Details can be found in Brevo’s privacy policy.

Transactional emails

We also send transactional emails via Brevo (e.g. confirmations of enquiries and bookings). The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (performance or initiation of a contract).

7. Google Ads and Google Analytics

We use Google services to measure reach and for marketing: Google Analytics 4 and Google Ads (including conversion tracking and remarketing), integrated via the Google tag (gtag.js). These services set cookies and process usage data (e.g. pages visited, device and browser, interactions, an online identifier) to analyse the use of the website and to measure the success of our ads.

The provider is Google Ireland Ltd., Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland; a transfer to Google LLC (USA) may occur. We base such transfers on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework (Google is certified) and the EU standard contractual clauses.

The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR and Section 25(1) TDDDG). These services load only after you have agreed in the cookie banner; until then, via Google Consent Mode, no analysis or marketing cookies are set and no identifiers are used. You can withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future (e.g. by deleting the site data/cookies in your browser). Details can be found in Google’s privacy policy.

8. Anonymous reach statistics

Independently of the Google services above, we record a few aggregate figures to understand how our website is used: the share of visitors who accept or decline the cookie banner, which page a visit started on, and the category of the source that referred a visit (e.g. search engine, social network, direct entry). This measurement is cookieless and works entirely at an aggregate level – we do not store any cookies or comparable identifiers on your device, do not create user profiles, and cannot draw conclusions about individual persons. Referring web addresses are immediately reduced to a rough category and are not stored in full.

The legal basis is our legitimate interest in the demand-oriented design and statistical evaluation of our website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Because no information is stored on or read from your device, Section 25 TDDDG does not apply and no consent is required.
